Former Chief of Cabinet Guillermo Francos referred for the first time to the crisis the Government is going through due to the situation with Manuel Adorni, remarking that his successor “failed in the explanations”.
“There must be some reason why the President and the General Secretary (Karina Milei) support him, I suppose they have much more information than we do,” he speculated.
Regarding the next steps, Francos emphasized that Adorni's continuity in the Cabinet will be strictly tied to the legal cases: “We have to wait if he can respond to the Justice's requests,” he stated.
Final decision: Francos concluded that once the judicial situation is clarified, “the President will proceed as appropriate”.
“When the Government creates some space, there is a kind of media barrage from different places, not only from journalists, but also on social networks,” he pointed out in an interview on La Nación+, suggesting that the digital environment was key in amplifying the wear on the official image.
However, Francos was blunt in evaluating Adorni's personal performance at the microphone: “I believe that, of course, the spokesperson failed to give his explanation, he had an attitude that people did not like and that made the matter even more negative”.
The Mileis' backing Despite the criticism of the communication, Francos recalled that the spokesperson still has the protection of the inner circle at Balcarce 50.
